The higher energy prices go, the wider becomes the spectrum of alternative fuels. The doors open to a new generation of liquid fuels including gas to high value liquids be they methanol, diesel, aviation fuel or naphtha.
These fuels can command higher prices than crude oil, significantly higher than oil sands and can move to market more cheaply and flexibly than LNG, the current investment favorite of the big players.
