An update on recent LNG trade and fleet developments. Notably, Japanese LNG demand was a key driving force in global LNG trade by lapping up spare LNG from the Atlantic Basin but the country has now reached its current maximum import capacity. There have been six new LNG tanker orders since April 2012 but no new additions to the active fleet.
