TOMORROW’S OIL – AUG 2010

Squeezing the next barrels from shale Oil does not flow easily in America anymore. There’s either too much and it’s out of control in the Gulf of Mexico or too little from the old Texas oil fields. Instead a new frontier for precious new supply is the challenge of squeezing liquids from shale rock: the new shale oil rush. Investors may make more money from this shale oil than they do from shale gas at current energy prices, but the USA will depend much more on deep water oil from the Gulf of Mexico.
